Migraine? Don't worry, be faithful

Migraine? Don’t worry, be faithful

I love that  song: Don’t worry be happy. I am finding out that If I don’t worry and be faithful I will be happy. My worry wart nature is half my problem, the other half is trusting God.

Yesterday I had a migraine, an unfortunate but regular event for me. This time I was a little worried because it was day three in this episode and I only had one pill left. They only give me 9 a month. (An insurance thing) It was Sunday, no doctors around to order a refill and I had to go to work Monday at 6 am so I couldn’t pick anything up in the morning because the pharmacy doesn’t open before 8am.  So there was my dilemma, One pill, one migraine, no options. If I take it and have another migraine at night or in the morning I suffer at work and take the chance it will turn debilitating as they can and will do if left untreated.

I was in my heavy worry state. Stressing which of course does not help the migraine. Then BOOM, it hits me. Don’t worry, be faithful. I decided to stop worrying and let God handle it. I decided not to take it unless it got to the 2nd stage (which is a little risky). But I went about my night and it went away. Yeah a migraine went away on its own. It’s unheard of if any of you migraine sufferers are out there let’s here an, amen. Migraines are the devils work and don’t ever leave on their own.

Now don’t get me wrong. I plan on refilling my prescription and will continue to take the meds as needed. I believe that God gave us doctors and options, brains and faith. This was simply a case of God reminding me that He still has the power.

I must say when I realized it was God’s power touching little old me and helping me with what would I would say is such a little thing for Him I cried. I’m gonna cry again…Still amazed  He loves me so much. We all need reminding I guess. It just increases our love and faith.

So next time an amazing out of the ordinary thing happens, even if it’s just a little thing like a headache going away out of nowhere, maybe you outta take a second look at who may have had His hand in it… and don’t for get to say thanks.
