Don’t close the eyes of your heart

When we are stressed or scared we all have different reactions. Some of us are brave and in the face of danger; we stand and fight. Some of us would rather hide or run or get help. There is nothing wrong with playing it safe and trying to protect your life. But are your eyes open when this is happening? If your eyes are closed then how do you identify the criminal so that they don’t attack you again? How do you look for the weakness that may have given the criminal the way in? Maybe you forgot to lock a door or you left your credit card on the counter.

These are all analogies for: you vs. satan. (I never capitalize his name even though Microsoft word thinks he’s worthy) If you don’t keep your eyes on God you won’t learn. He is your teacher, your father. Use the eyes in your heart to identify when He is teaching so that you don’t confuse it with when Lucifer is trying to sway, trick, tease, hurt, steal, hinder, lie or even kill you and or your soul. The devil is the great liar and if you close your eyes in fear or because it’s just too painful to face then you are missing the vision of God. Open the eyes of your heart because Love is there.
